Working with Schools
WiseUp Team Building have many years experience working with schools and groups of all ages and abilities. We frequently run events for students with various Special Educational Needs (SEN) and are able to cater for the physical, mental and emotional requirements of all participants. Similarly, as all of our activities are extremely adaptable, we are able to provide challenging sessions for higher achieving students in Gifted and Talented streams.
Our staff have worked in a number of different regions and environments. As such, we are well equipped to respect the cultural diversity of many of the groups we run events for. We are able to offer split sessions for male and female participants. If required, an all male or all female staff team can be provided (qualifications and sessions permitting).
Before the Event
Having received your completed booking form, your event will be confirmed. Access is then given to our Members Area. This contains copies of all the relevant documents you may require, such as our risk assessments, DBS and child protection policies, and additional information for participating staff. Our team building days adhere to strict instructor to participant ratios and the information for each activity can also be found in the Members Area. We will contact you prior to the event to discuss timings and specific requirements for the programme, in addition to site related queries such as vehicle access and the location for the activities, briefing and de-brief.
We are always contactable via email and phone to address any specific concerns or queries. On-site pre-visit can be arranged if needed.
Day of Event
The WiseUp Team Building instructors will lead the day fully. This includes setting up, running the activities and packing down at the end of the event. Our staff will arrive on site early in order to allow plenty of time to set up the equipment. The lead instructor will liaise closely with the event co-ordinator to ensure you are satisfied with the programme. Any last minute changes that may be needed are factored in with minimal disruption. An instructor gives participating school staff a comprehensive briefing about how the event will run. We also answer any questions they have about their role for the day.
After the Event
In order to ensure complete satisfaction, we send all our schools a feedback form. This gives us valuable information regarding the success of each individual programme. It also lets us know how we, as a company, have met your requirements.
Many schools choose to re-book at this point for the following year. This is a great idea, especially for our busiest periods in July and September, in order to retain your ideal dates.
