Job Role Summary

Working as a Lead Instructor with WiseUp Team Building is a role that is incredibly rewarding! Our Leads are the go-to face of our WiseUp days, leading a team of instructors to run educational and fun activity days in schools, colleges and universities all across the UK. A typical day involves driving a team in one of our WiseUp vans, liaising with teachers and managing instructors to ensure that the students taking part have a great day. Leads are responsible for the overall running of each event, communicating with staff and all students while managing any changes to the running of the day. When back at Base, Leads will ensure the loading and unloading of activity equipment, and ensure any consumables are topped up, ready for the next day.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving company vehicle and other team members to venues.
• Delivering activity days to large groups of students of varying ages.
• Liaising with teachers before & during events while portraying a professional attitude at all times.
• Managing other team members and freelance instructors at schools and WiseUp Base.
• Maintaining activity equipment.
• Developing new activity ideas.
• Work flexibly and undertake any other duties reasonably required by WiseUp Team Building management.

Personal Qualities

• A least 21 years old with a full U.K driving license.  A vehicle will be provided for business use, usually a van.
• Experience working with young people.
• Have managed a team before.
• Ability to speak confidently to large groups.
• Deliver training to staff and activities to a broad range of customers.
• Exhibit effective organisational and time management skills.
• Display strong leadership ethics and ability.
• Demonstrate flexibility, problem solving ability and strong work ethic.

Additional Information

All Lead Instructor roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check.

This role requires travelling to venues across the U.K and will involve overnight stays at hotels provided by the company. This role does not involve weekend work, although on occasion you may be asked to leave on a Sunday night if doing overnights. Various start and finish dates throughout the season.
