Team Building & Problem Solving Activity Days
At WiseUp, we like to make booking and planning a team building activity day as straightforward as possible. As a result, we have put together a few of our most commonly asked questions.
Do WiseUp run team building activity days in schools?
Yes, we offer a fully mobile service where we come to you. A team of instructors will bring all the team building equipment needed to your school. We will set everything up, run a fun and educational day for your students, then pack it all away again.
Where are WiseUp based and how far will WiseUp teams travel?
WiseUp Team Building operates from our base in Kent. We happily travel nationwide to run our problem solving activity days in schools and there is no additional cost wherever in the UK you are based.
Do WiseUp work with small groups on activity days?
Our team building activities are suitable for groups as small as 6-8 students. The flexible nature of our challenges means we are able to adapt them to each of the schools we work with.
Can WiseUp run a team building day with large numbers of students?
We are specialists in large numbers! We frequently work with whole year groups, and often entire schools. Our biggest event to date was working with over 800 students at the same time.
Planning & Logistics
What space do schools need for a team building activity day?
The amount of space we require will depend on your group size. Our activities can be set up outside on fields, astro turf, MUGA’s or hard standing areas as well as inside using classrooms, a gym or a sports hall. A member of our activities team will liaise with the lead teacher for your event to plan the areas after booking. Our activities vary in size, and we can often make use of all sorts of nooks and crannies, from corridors and atriums to spaces under stairways.
How much time do schools need for a team building activity day?
We are flexible on time and can run sessions from an hour long to a full day. Typically schools ask us to fit in with the normal school timetable. WiseUp can work with students for a full day, half day or a split day (where we work with half of the group in the morning, and the other half in the afternoon). Please contact us to discuss other timings if needed.
Can WiseUp incorporate school values into the day?
Yes, we regularly tailor our days to incorporate different schools values or objectives. Often schools will use our events as a reward day for students who have done well. For others, a WiseUp Team Building day can be run as an inter house competition, or even a mixed years challenge day.
Do all of the activities involve team building?
All of our sessions include elements of team work. This includes our popular Bushcraft Challenge, Orienteering and Archery. The specific focus of each event can be tailored to suit your needs. Some activities are more logical, whilst others or more physical.
Are the team building activities suitable for Primary school and Early Years students?
We have a range of specially created activities just for younger students.
Will the activities be engaging for older students?
Yes, we run these activities with 6th form and college students, teachers and corporate clients with great success.
Are WiseUp Team Building activities suitable for SEN students?
Most definitely yes! Every year we work with a number of specialist SEN schools and units. Our teams are able to make additional provision for the needs of the students including adaptive equipment and large print cards. Please discuss your needs with a member of our activities team.
Do WiseUp run team building activity days for charity events?
WiseUp proudly supports a number of charities each year. Please get in contact to discuss your needs.
